Set between the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, Nicaragua is a tropical paradise with blinding beaches, volcanoes, and terrain lakes. Places like San Juan del Sur and Ometepe Island would make for unique visits. It’s also one of the least expensive places to visit, which is great for backpackers.

Hokkaido, Japan

Japan is undoubtedly one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, and it’s going to be bustling with activity next year as it will be hosting the 2020 Summer Olympics. So, Tokyo is unlikely a good place to be if you are not looking to be swept into the Olympics craze. That leaves us with this little known gem that adventure lovers will fall in love with: Hokkaido.

Hokkaido is an island north of Japan known for its breath-taking sceneries. It is that place where nature calls home! In the winter, Hokkaido is known for snowboarding and powder skiing.

As a backpacker in Morocco, you don’t want to miss out on Agadir, a city located southwest of the country. It offers the market thrills of Marrakesh without the chaos. If you like to feel the wind in your hair, you’ll fall in love with Agadir as it’s pretty windy, which makes it a haven for windsurfing and kitesurfing.

Pisac, Peru
